← WY MUDDY CREEK OLSON DRAW NEAR DAD WY Single Tracks →

Description

4.5 miles (one-way) of singletrack that follows North French Creek inbetween NFSR 225 to NFSR 206 on the Medicine Bow National Forest, Wyoming. There are a few creek crossings with bridges (if they're not washed out), roots, and a few rocks. It is mostly forested with a meadow or two, and sagebrush near the south end. The trail is never that steep, and could be traversed by a novice. The north end of the trail becomes faint in a few spots in a meadow, but there are signposts marking the trail. There are also mileage markers every 0.5 miles. There is some scenery and potentail for wildlife.

Directions

Take Wyoming Highway 130/230 south of Saratoga approximately 7.5 miles. Turn onto Wyoming Highway 130. Drive east for approximately 17 miles to National Forest System Road (NFSR) 225. Take NFSR south for approximately 4.5 miles. The trailhead will be on the south side of the road, and it is right before NFSR 227. If you're coming west on 130 from Centennial, you can take NFSR 227 south for about 4 miles to NFSR 225. Take a right on NFSR 225 and the trailhead will be immediately to the south. If you prefer to start at the bottom trailhead, take NFSR 225 for approximately 6 miles to NFSR 206. Take NFSR 206 southwest about 4 miles to lower trailhead.
